October 13th 2006: "Alice Rose" wins Best Art Film at the FAIF film festival 2006.
October 18th 2006: Started pre-production on next short entitled "Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep", starring Sirry Jons. This project was abandoned in January 2007 in favor of "Lapse", a feature-length psychological thriller.
Fall 2006: "Between the Sunset and the Sea" received a distribution agreement with Women's Independent Cinema, with an estimated distribution date set for Summer 2007. The short will be included as part of their monthly movie club, on a dvd that will feature 4 films made by women filmmakers. See womensindependentcinema.com

October 29th 2007: "Between the Sunset and the Sea" screens at the AMC 12 in Downtown Disney as part of the 3rd annual FAIF (Foundation for the Advancement of Independent Film) Film Festival
September 27th - October 26th 2007: Principal photography for Marianne's first feature project, the psychological thriller "Lapse".
December 4th 2007: Marianne returns to Copenhagen, Denmark, to finish "Lapse" and start her new feature project , details still under wraps, thus ending a five year chapter of her life in Los Angeles.
March 4th, 2008: Marianne has finished a short film script entitled "Fremmed", based on an idea by Helle Jensen (who was also the DP on "Lapse"). It is a Danish comedy about a Muslim family that decides to go on a good oldfashioned bicycle holiday (something uniquely and typically Danish) in order to prove that they can integrate with the Danes. Of course, things don't quite go as smoothly as planned. The story is actually feature-length, but is starting out as a short. Marianne is also well underway with an additional two feature-length scripts, both in English. Stay tuned for more info.
March 6th, 2008: Post production for "Lapse" is well underway, but a distributor is not expected to be found until the film is completed and possibly has been accepted to or played at film festivals. Click here to see examples of PRESS that "Lapse" has received.
November 1st, 2008: First rough cut of "Lapse" completed with a run time of a little over 120 minutes.
January 2009: A planned rough cut screening for a select audience in Denmark. The film has an estimated running time of 110 minutes.
September 2009: Picture lock on "Lapse". The final version came out to 75 minutes.
January 2010: "Lapse" has so far been submitted to the Sundance and Slamdance Film Festivals as well as Rotterdam, Berlin, SXSW, Tribeca, Seattle, San Francisco and Gen Art. The technical finishing work is well underway, with post sound, color correction, VFX and music. Estimated date of completion: March 2010.
June 2010: "Lapse" is almost finished! Sound was completed this week and colorgrading is only missing some finetuning. A final output to master tape will probably happen in mid July! |
